WELCOME TO THE PROJECT WEBSITE FOR THE REDEVELOPMENT OF 19-35 BAKER STREET, 30 GLOUCESTER PLACE, 69-71 BLANDFORD STREET AND 88-110 GEORGE STREET.

Derwent London is working with The Portman Estate to develop plans for the future regeneration of the site, once House of Fraser vacate the main building on Baker Street. 

We have appointed a project team, including Hopkins Architects, and submitted a planning application for the regeneration of the site to Westminster City Council, for determination in due course. Should we be successful in our application, we anticipate that the earliest work may start is 2018.

Our vision is to open up the site and create a new commercial building and courtyard which residents, workers and visitors can all enjoy. In bringing forward these proposals we have undertaken a thorough consultation with the local community including two public exhibitions.

Having received feedback from Westminster City Council, the team has made further amendments to the design of the scheme. The amended planning documents may be downloaded from the link below:

PUBLIC CONSULTATION

We recently held a second public exhibition to display our revised proposals following the first exhibition in April.  The exhibition was attended by approximately 100 visitors who provided further helpful feedback.
